You ever wonder why school always starts in the fall?

I mean, the start of a new school year should technically start at the beginning of the year right?

Wouldn’t that just make a lot more sense?

Well, I don’t know the specific reason, but I have a guess that it likely has to do with a change in season.

See, autumn signifies a lot of things, but for many, it means the end of summer.

With that come a whole bunch of different changes, I’ll show you what I mean.

What change does Autumn REALLY mean?

When people think of the seasons changing, the general sentiment is usually, time to switch wardrobes and wear a bit more.

But there’s something more.

Autumn means more than just a change in season, it represents a change in mood, in emotion.

The sun is not as bright, and the wind is just a little stronger. Rain happens a bit more, and the skies are usually filled with clouds.

Leaves are also falling, and the seasonal depression begins to kick in.

It’s also the start of school, which means the time for fun in the sun is now over.

People have to move away and begin long distance relationships at their new schools.

Everything is basically changing.

Those of us who have been longing for a change, also muster up the courage to finally make those decisions.

New jobs, new learning, new partners. A lot of new.

So how does this relate to relationships?

Change in my own life

When I say relationships, often I mean romantic ones.

But there are occasions, such as this one, where I mean it in a more general sense.

Friend relationships, working relationships, partners, teachers, classmates, all of them.

Recently, there have been changes in a lot of the people around me.

In the true spirit of autumn, people have found new places to live, new ways of living and, new places to work.

I’m okay with this. Believe me.

But when so much change is happening around you, sometimes you end up asking yourself, am I the only one staying the same?

The truth about change

You’re not alone. I think we all tend to believe that about ourselves from time to time.

Change happens to everybody at different times.

Sometimes it can be bad, but other times, it can also mean the start of some really cool new things.

Meeting someone new, being introduced to a new environment, and new experiences.

Sure the feeling of comfort and staying the same is assuring.

But we shouldn’t be resistant to change, we should embrace it.

Because that’s how we ourselves, change and grow.
