what I learned from | exploring love in popular culture

This is the corner for romance and love in popular culture. Here we’ll be discussing everything we consume and how it affected my outlook on romance, love, and relationships.

There’s a reason why happily ever after exist. Because we believed in it. We believed in fairytale romances. We were influenced by Prince Charming and Cinderella, by Pam and Jim from The Office. Growing up at the peak of not only television development, but movies, music, social media, the technology boom!

In addition, as millennials, we grew up at a time with the most interesting mix of pop culture. 90’s nostalgia, the influencers of social media, and an endless wave of information from Hollywood that affect how we see love and romance.

Letters and Hearts needed a place for that. It needed a place for how mainstream media has played a role in our lives.

More often then not, we’re rooting for the main character to get the girl, or longing for the next catchy love song. In everything we see or hear, there’s always love in pop culture.

From Disney to The Office, a Taylor Swift song to a romantic-comedy movie about time travel, this is where we’ll cover everything.

This is where we’ll discuss it all.
