Everything you do is magic | What I learned from One Direction

Recently an old song has been showing up on my Spotify pretty much on repeat. It’s Magic by One Direction.

Now I know it seems a little bit of a random song to talk about, but the lyrics really bring me back to a simpler time.

Let’s talk about the song Magic, by One Direction.

The melody is a summer love masterpiece

Whenever I hear this song, I immediately think of summer romance.

It just sounds exactly like how falling in love with someone during the summer time feels like.

The upfront energy of the song at the very beginning that is so full of sunshine.

It could be played at a beach, or a summer party.

There’s even a part in the song that almost sounds like the sun had set and the stars were visible.

To me, the entire song could paint a very visual picture of a joyful and exciting time filled with love and happiness.

Everything could almost seem like it was magic.

In true One Direction fashion, the song is very straightforward and direct.

With the lyrics, it seemed to share a story with another person where being with them is absolutely captivating.

Every movement, every word, every breath is an angelic feeling.

Although it seems very basic, the meaning behind the lyrics combined with the way the song sounds definitely delivers a very happy feeling.

I would say that having experienced a similar feeling, to truly appreciate the lyrics, it helps to have related to the song.

To me, this song is a very expressive song. Something you’d want to sing at the top of your lungs.

It’s a song to listen to with your partner as you’re driving on a road trip.

Full of life and energy, it reminds me to remember to appreciate those who give us this feeling.

Personally, I love the end of the chorus, “everything you do is magic.”

I’m fortunate enough to be with someone who gives me the feeling of magic.

The feeling that everything they do is absolutely captivating.

That just the thought of them can completely change your mood.

The feeling that the entire relationship feels like magic.
