If you had a perfect day, what would it look like?

I’ve recently heard of this question as a way to find what makes you happy.

A tip that could lead you to discovering your passions in life.

But does this even make sense?

I think it does, and here’s why.

Removing the limitations

One of the most important things that this question gives you, is removing the limitations.

When we’re talking about perfection, it’s the most ideal scenario.

This means that everything is exactly how you want it and current life doesn’t matter.

The problems you have and the frame of mindset that shapes your reality doesn’t need to be considered.

With limitless options, how would one’s perfect day look like?

From there, perhaps there could be certain things in that vision that could lead you to finding the passion and career that you’ve wanted.

Something that will give you your dream life.

What my perfect day would be

Now of course this wouldn’t be a post if I didn’t share what my perfect day would look like.

I’d be spending it out at sea with my family and my partner, and all my loved ones.

The sun is shining, and the ocean looks absolutely endless.

There’s laughter, smiles, cold drinks and good food.

All of our children are playing together in the water and there’s music playing in the background.

Time basically stopped and it feels like it could last forever.

It sounds like an absolute dream but that is what my ideal day would look like.

The pursuit of happiness

When we’re out looking for what will make us happy, we often don’t find it.

It’s hard because it really takes us framing our minds a certain way.

Instead of directly asking what makes us happy and instead indirectly asking what this day looks like, we get to see the result and look for what led to it.

Because we don’t have to search for it.

It’s there from a collection of things.

For me it was everything that makes me happy all in one place.

And perhaps if we’re able to find this perfect day, we’ll find the thing that will make us truly happy.
