It’s a beautiful feeling to be able to just see smiles around you and hear laughter. Some of them from you, some of them from the people you’re talking to.
Life’s been a bit like that recently.
And I’ve been absolutely loving it!
It’s rare that things just seem positive consistently, but I actually think it’s something else.
Living life again
For me, this has been a big thing.
Most of the smiles I’ve been seeing aren’t just from a device.
I’ve been living life like normal a lot more, and it’s really changed my mood.
As humans, I think we were meant to have other people in our lives.
Other smiles and other laughter.
But we haven’t had that in a long time because we’ve had to be isolated.
Doing stuff again, going out, spending time with family, those have all been restarted.
And I have to say, it’s brought a lot more smiles into my life.
Summer smiles
Another big thing is the season that we have.
Summer is my all-time favourite season and definitely the season where my smiles shine the brightest.
It’s unfortunate that we’re only met with a few months of golden sunshine every year, but I cherish every single moment of it.
I think the season is a big contributing factor to not only my mood, but the smiles and laughter all around me.
People are genuinely just happier when there is sunshine out.
Now obviously there’s a scientific reason behind it and whatnot, with the serotonin levels in our bodies.
But in general, better weather just means more time outside with people you love.
I’m a happy boy these days
It’s rare to say, but I actually have been very appreciative of life these days.
I feel like while there is a lot going on, sometimes just having the basics is plenty.
Being able to go outside and just live life.
Spend time with loved ones and family.
That’s what summer and life should be about.
Just laughter and smiles.
